Game introduction:​

This is a two players turn-based PvP spreadsheet game. One player plays as Hunter. Hunter can win the game by hiding in the map for 15 rounds or killing the monster. Every turn has 5 actions. Another player plays as Monster. Monster makes every efforts to kill Hunter.


Every turn has 3 actions. Every player takes turns to choose their actions and every action will cost strength or hunger. The project is on Google Sheet and is programmed in JavaScript.


In this project I responsible for system design.

Green represents hunter’s action

Yellow represents the hunter’s status.

Red represent resources.

Actions

Explore: The hunter could choose to move to other position in the map, it will consume 1 turn and 10 strength points.

Collect: The hunter could collect stones, woods or iron per turn, it will consume 1 turn and 5 strength points.

Hunt:

The player could collect food by hunting, it will consume 1 turn and 10 strength points. The possibility of getting injured through hunting decreases based on the attack point of players.

Eat: The hunter consumes 1 food to increase 15 strength and 5 health. However, the health cannot exceed the health max index.

Craft: The hunter could utilize the resources to craft weapons and traps, it will consume 1 turn and 10 strength points.

Attack: Hunter and monster can attack each other by overlapping their position. Hunter’s attack is based on the attack points. Monster’s attack is based on Monster’s strength.

Action

Explore: The monster could choose to move to another position on the map, it will consume 1 turn and 5 hunger points.

Smell: The monster could detect the player’s position temporarily, it will consume 1 turns point and 3 hunger points.

Hunt: The monster will lose 5 hunger points automatically every turn. So the monster needs to hunt to replenish the hunger points. If the hunger points are “0”, the monster’s health points will decline(5) every turn.

Attack: When the monster and hunter are near each other, they could attack each other. The monster’s attack depends on anger, hunger and Hunter’s damage points.

Modification progress:

First, we play the original Dominion board game. And all our group member thinks the game takes too much time, and lack of player interactive.

Modification Goal:

1. Accelerate the game pace.

2. Increase the game interactions between players

***Damage and Revival:

Damage

Resolve damage from action cards with each player in a clockwise direction.

If a player gets attacked, they roll the dice once, and the number on the dice is the damage that the player suffers.

Revival

If a player has a revival card when they die from damage, they can trash the revive card immediately to revive with 1 hp.

Revived players are invulnerable until their turn.

Other players can revive them to prevent the attacker from winning.

Players must be alive to revive other players.

Resolve any disputes in a clockwise direction (eg. multiple revives).

Looting

If a player chooses to revive another fallen player, they get to loot 1 random card from the fallen player’s current hand.

The reviver may choose to add the card to discard pile or trash it.


Additional Rules

Goal: the player kills another player wins the game.

Players can revive other players.

Reviver loot 1 random card from the reviver’s hand. Trash or keep.

Decrease starting treasure for each player: x5 coppers, x2 silver, x3 revives

Draw 3 cards from the hidden market at the beginning, then the next player only needs to draw 1 card to put in the position the card be purchased by the previous player.



Game design

This is a marketing campaign for Take Five website.

In this project I design the game mechanic for the game and place the bar on the map


In this project I design the game and the placement of the bar.


Campaign purpose:

The purpose of this campaign is to introduce bars in Taipei to the audience.

Game Introduction :

The game works similar to the classic game Monopoly. Each stop is a bar in Taipei. The further the stop is from the starting point the price level is higher.


First, the player has to choose a class

1. Civilian

Hold one dice. (Low budget)

2. Middle class

Hold two dies(Middle budget)

3.Noble class

Hold three dies(No limited budget)


The purpose of choosing class is to understand the need of the target audience. The higher class represent higher price of the bar.


After choosing a class, the player starts to roll a dice and complete the challenge on the map. By playing this game the player can know the information of the bar including price, special characteristic , and address. T
